Not the same size is not an issue.

Not rectangular requires some work. To my understanding, a 'rectangular'
graphics card output is distorted to a non-rectangular display, and you want
to to correct that using the appropriate frustum.

I agree - I'll put it on the feature list. For the moment it will have a low
priority, though. If you have resources on your end to implement it, I am
happy to help with the design and integration.
