eqPly, as all Equalizer applications, does not configure itself. It is
configured by the eqServer. Please work through the Quickstart Guide,
it does show how to run different configurations.

2D.eqc is very similar.

That often is correct. Sometimes one also wants multiple channels in a
single window to view the data from different viewpoints.
