You need to run an eqServer with a configuration file.

Check out the examples/configs folder in the Equalizer source package for
a number of example configurations.

I attached an excerpt from the internal documentation I wrote at work for using
our Equalizer code.  Mabey it can help get you started.

Hi all,

I am very new to equiliser. I have managed to run the example eply and ehallo example source codes on my computer.

Can some one show me some example code of how to:

1 create three windows each with its own pipe.

2 create one window with three channels each channel with its own pipe.

You quick response will be highly appreciated.
