Ah, that explains it. :)

Statistics are only rendered on appNode channels. I presume one of the
nodes is the node from which you launch the application - just change
this one into appNode{ ... }.

If that's not the case, you can add an appNode{} and give it one
channel and compound (w/out swapbarrier) as well. You should see the
statistics on this 'console' window.
